How to make the gift personal This Make Memories edition of our A Year of Dates box is a special edition, printed in red and white, rather than foiled. The dates are the same as those in our original date box; inside there are 52 sealed envelopes, each with a date idea inside, encouraging you to spend time together as a couple. The box comes in a range of colours with 50 cream envelopes and 50 of a colour of your choice, along with 100 cards. Enough for 50 guests to fill in one memory each and for one date a week up to your first anniversary. You can add to this with batches of 50 cards and envelopes (25 of each type) to create more memories. Each year completed at primary school brings with it huge amounts of memories from photos to certificates, stories to ties, which all need to be kept safe. The last step is to gather the supplies that you’ll need for each of the 12 monthly dates to assemble the envelopes and small boxes of goodies for each month. Then, you’re ready to actually start putting together your Year of Dates gift box. Step 4: Gather the date supplies and assemble the envelopes.
When you first start seeing someone new, there’s a stream of date nights over dinner and drinks that can eventually lead into a significant relationship. But as the months and years go by, it can be easy for couples to find themselves skipping date night and opting for routine nights in. Year of Dates signs to put on the outside of the date night gift box– Print on regular printer paper or a heavier (32 lb.) paper. With space for the child’s name(s) in the centre you can choose 5 additional words that will be added to the box to make it personal to you – for example their teacher, name of school, year group, class name, favourite subjects or extra curricular activities (these words can be anything you choose the headings are examples – you are restricted to 21 characters for each word to ensure we can fit them within the design). The bottom section of the box is for what they want to be when they grow up, a great way to remember all those career dreams as they change and grow. The Categorised Edition which is perfect for parents, people on a budget or those who like to keep a bit of control! The colours of the envelopes are colour coded: choose to go out for the evening, stay in, or have a day out. There are also a few surprises included. If you have a bit more time, you can prep your year of dates gift with all of the items needed for each date – whether it’s a coffee shop gift card and conversation starter cards for a “Coffee and Convo” date or a printable game spinner labeled with different restaurant names for a “Random Restaurant” date. Each set has 5 blank cards to add your own, personal dates, there's a leaflet inside that explains everything too. Some cards suggest you flip a coin to help with any difficult decisions - like who chooses the movie, or cooks the candlelit dinner! The date night cards are for inspriation, use them to help make more memories.
