At first, with the Avengers in ruins, a new team named The New Avengers is created: Iron Man, Captain America, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Ronin (aka Echo), Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Sentry. It was also the title of the main Avengers series written by Bendis—with art by David Finch, then by Steve McNiven, Leinil Francis Yu, Billy Tan, and Stuart Immonen as the years went by. Avengers #262-263 are collected in The Once and Future Kang (#262, Namor the Sub-Mariner joins the Avengers) All of these are also collected in New Avengers by Brian Michael Bendis: The Complete Collection Vol. 1. I thought this book was pretty good, to me it was kind of confusing to follow a lot of information was giving and I did not really know each character very well so for me it was a little confusing but I did enjoy the story a lot and I thought it was a pretty good book. Bendis’s other projects include the Harvey, Eisner, and Eagle Award-nominated Powers (with Michael Avon Oeming) originally from Image Comics, now published by Marvel's new creator-owned imprint Icon Comics, and the Hollywood tell-all Fortune and Glory from Oni Press, both of which received an "A" from Entertainment Weekly. On a side note, Dark Avengers was published before the Marvel Cinematic Universe properly took off: it'd be interesting to see how much those movies have changed the idea of the default Avengers line-up. After Secret Wars, the Marvel Universe was rebooted, a combination of the 616 Universe and 1610 Ultimate Universe. A new Avengers title (vol. 6) – aka All-New, All-Different Avengers– was launched in 2015. It was written by Mark Waid, with artwork by Mahmud Asrar and Adam Kubert. This time, Iron Man forms a new team of Avengers with the Vision, Nova (Sam Alexander), Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Captain America (Sam Wilson), and Thor (Jane Foster). After Roy Thomas left, Steve Englehart started his run with #135. He wrote most of the issues up until #152. Wow, this may well be THE best Avengers run, period, and I'm willing to say that when I'm only one volume in. Crazy I missed this when it was originally coming out, as it was during my period away from comics when I became disillusioned with them and the '90s formula (which is funny, because these days, I love that nostalgic trash!) If only I knew classic superhero material of this quality was going on while I was brooding in my bedroom listening to nu-metal albums. I can only imagine what my anticipation would have been, waiting for every new issue. Whether serving customers in one of our shops, or working directly with young people at a service, our volunteers make a huge difference to vulnerable children’s lives. In 1997, Busiek began a stint as writer of Avengers alongside artist George Pérez. Pérez departed from the series in 2000, but Busiek continued as writer for two more years, collaborating with artists Alan Davis, Kieron Dwyer and others. Busiek's tenure culminated with the "Kang Dynasty" storyline. In 2003, Busiek re-teamed with Perez to create the JLA/Avengers limited series. Last year around 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers were supported by Barnardo’s through more than 1,000 services across the UK, such as young carers, care leavers, foster carers and adoptive parents, training and skills or parenting classes.
