The rose-tinted adoration Auren has for King Midas is getting lesser, but it was still very annoying how loyal she was to him. Auren, the golden favoured of King Midas, remains a captive of Commander Rip, leader of the armies of Fourth Kingdom. We also get the point of view of Queen Malina, the wife of Midas who is the blood of the Sixth Kingdom. You’ve likely met a man who pushes her to fight, to be stronger, to break free of her chains (Ie, Midas (the bastard)).It was a little more of the same we saw in the first book, but enhanced and improved upon everything like the danger, the romance, and the surprises that the author comes up with to throw you off your tracks! But it’s good to see that sex work can be good for those who do it, provided they have some power and get treated right. Eu adorei o segundo livro de Plated Prisioner, a gente passa um pouco de nervoso com a cabecinha fechada da Auren, mas ver a interação dela com os novos personagens valeu a pena. Like “Game of Thrones” more people in positions of power rise up and become major players on the chess board, more characters become involved and of course, more and more tension rises to make everything eventually come to even bigger blows when the big confrontation and battle inevitably takes place! Just know that it is a dark romance with plenty of twists and turns and enough intrigue to keep you flicking pages through those slow parts.

After Glint , I'm still not head over heels in love with the whole story, but I am intrigued enough to start the third one. This both infuriates and intimidates Auren, but she refuses to back down from his challenges as she tries to figure out his ulterior motive. Be a part of The Plated Prisoner Series the brilliant fantasy series from Raven Kennedy that everyone is talking about by being the first to own and read this beautiful set of sprayed-edged and signed hardbacks. I will get book 3 now, hoping to like it as much as I did book 1 (which was much more than this one.Now I'm here, a prisoner of Fourth Kingdom's army, and I'm not sure if I'm going to make it out of this in one piece. if you need any other reason to pick up a Raven Kennedy book- she wrote my FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME- The Hearts Hassel series, also available on Kindle Unlimited! Her growth and realization towards the end that everything she had endured was because of a false love was so powerful yet heart wrenching. She is surprisingly naïve despite her traumatic childhood making her a very difficult character to root for.
