Description

Reshiram is another fire Pokémon, so this card really sets the game alight. Illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, it shows the Pokémon side by side as they head into battle. This formidable card was popular throughout the Sun & Moon era, into the days of Sword & Shield. To work out what type of card you have, first look at the bar at the top of the card. This will give you the name of the Pokémon. If it’s followed by GX, you know it’s a GX card. If the name has an ‘M’ before it, you know you’re looking at a mega Pokémon.

If you want to know whether your card is likely to sell for a lot of money, you need to consider these factors:The full art version of 20/214 shows new partners Reshiram & Charizard in a more relaxed pose. A really nice looking card and my favourite of the three zards in this set. Illustrated by CG Works. A fairly standard Charizard non-action-pose holo sees the zard staring at the holographic moon, a nice simple card illustrated by the notorious Ken Sugimori.

From left to right: Charizard & Braixen GX 22/236, Charizard & Braixen GX 217/236 Full Art, Charizard & Braixen GX 251/236 Rainbow Rare.Interestingly this rainbow card was released before the standard full-art version. It’s part of the first set to include GX cards, and thanks to the beautiful design, it’s highly sought after. Here are the average market prices and some examples of when these cards sold for much more! Charizard-GX Value In Japan, 7 Gold Tag Team GX cards released in that set, these Gold cards are: Reshiram & Charizard GX, Pikachu & Zekrom GX, Mewtwo & Mew GX, Greninja & Zoroark GX, Lucario & Melmetal GX, Garchomp & Giratina GX and Moltres, Zapdos & Articuno GX.

The first Mega Charizard in the XY Evolutions set recycles the artwork and moveset once again from XY Flashfire. (Thanks to Sam T for this info). An awesome looking card, and a nice HP bonus for the mega evolution (220 HP) but 5 energy to use one move and then the guy damages himself? Damn. Illustrated by 5ban graphics. And although not as rare as a gold star Umbreon, or as powerful as a Mewtwo-EX, the Charizard-GX card is highly sought after and fairly valuable. Bold indicates a main expansion. Italics indicate a special set. Releases that are entirely composed of prints from other releases are small. The pull rate on this card was pretty crazy considering its Charizard VMAX. These things were popping like wildfire. It's the first time we see Charizard in VMAX form with it's colossal 330 HP. Illustrated by CG Works. This full-art card shows the tag team at their finest. It’s not quite as lustrous as the rainbow that’s coming up next in our list, but it’s still a collectible item that collectors will pay considerable amounts for.
