About this deal

AF Sensor Selection Modes: Single, dynamic (selects magically as a moving subject moves across the finder), and Closest Subject, which you use when handing the D40 to a stranger to take your picture. All others you can read the divisional chart independently. If the divisonal chart shows that it can give good results but not the natal chart, the reading of the divisonal chart still prevails EXCEPT FOR THE THREE READINGS ABOVE.

Firstly, an inside valve gear 4-4-0 is not a bad place to start loco building, so well done for that. I was almost unaware of PDK kits, which is surprising given that i am rather fond of the D.40s so thanks for alerting me to them! Based on what I just read, the ONLY TIME when one has to refer to Rasi when reading a dvisional chart is under THREE CIRCUMSTANCES : On the speaker set, Bluetooth and USB modes are indicated by a blue light. All other modes are indicated by a red light (Ref.7). AUX and Optical Modes Just read something about D40 and D45 from the book also. Readers can test out whether my above interpretation is correct or the book for eg. Vic DiCara does use D45 independently but the book as some other consideration to tie with Rasi. Similarly the book has some other consideration to tie in D40 with the Rasi Chart even though earlier on I said no need. Readers can test out which two opposing set of dicta is correct - the book or the one from this thread.from the 6MP D50 which looked spectacular; it's all about knowing what you're doing to get a sharp image. See also The Megapixel Myth. Nikon only sells the D40 with this great little lens in the USA. Don't throw it away unless you already have the much bigger Nikon 18-200mm VR, whose weight takes some of the fun out of the D40. The D40 works perfectly with the 18-200mm lens. Here's a look at them together: Please note all (Ref.) refer to the Controls and Functions in the above diagrams. Setting up your Majority D40 Speakers Connecting and Powering the Unit Battery: Same 1,000 mAh EN-EL9 as D40, incompatible with other Nikons. Rated 520 shots, up from 470 shot rating of D40. I get about 1,000 shots on a charge with my D40, since I rarely use its flash. A reader also suggests that she can open D40 raw files in PS CS2, saving her from having to upgrade to PS CS3, required to open newer D40X raw files. I haven't confirmed that; I thought Adobe let one update camera compatibility in all their programs. I shoot JPG which opens on everything.

Also if one want to go one step further to see the goodness of a dvisional chart, besides the basic consideration stated above, all the significators in D-1 which have a necessary impact on that divisonal chart can be read. Here the book does not say whether they are talking about natural significators or functional ruler significators. In my opinion it cannot be natural significators since this is already take care of by the basic consideration above. Let's start by using the Planets as an Ascendant System first. But we consider on the goal of reading the prospects in my life instead of character analysis which comes under D-1 Rasi chart.AF Motion Modes: AF-A (the magic do-everything mode I love), AF-S (single focus for still subjects) and AF-C, continuous, for moving subjects. The Nikon D40’s AF is also a little slow, but perhaps this is excusable given the price. ‘Slow but steady’ is the general rule and manually choosing a single AF point, focusing and recomposing the scene often proves the simplest and most effective solution. Here's Nikon USA's original manual if you've lost yours. It's not very helpful, which is why I wrote all this.
